I've received both errors frequently since the festival started. I get booted less in American districts, but it's been largely independent of where my toons are.

Yep same here 007/040 ever since the dragon festival started just hope gw2 fairs better when we start in 2 months because if this event is anything to go on then gw2 will have a tough first few months

I think the euro servers always have issues, this happened during the birthday event to. As soon as I get in and I recommend this to anyone who is in Europe to go to American Districts.

Lots of login problems - 004, 007, 040 - for the last 1.5-2 hours.
3 different accounts, in different regions - AM and EU.
From South Africa.

So, the problem is widespread and affecting various different people = ANET's PROBLEM

Fix it!!

Worst thing is, there''s no reconnect. I have been trying to do Darkrime Delves for the past 4 hours - every time I disconnect, it's back to the character select screen

The main problem is with the in-flux of players coming back to either finish titles off and such and people trying to make a fast buck while the festival is on.

Problem is that the servers are so poorly maintain that it cant cope with a large in-flux of players this causes a lot of problems. Also with Guild Wars been put into auto mode that doesn't help either as there is no anet/GW employ on the ground to say server guys we have a defcon situation here! fix asap.

Makes me wonder if buying guild wars 2 was the wisest considering how they have left Guild Wars.................

They're run on entirely separate servers, if I understand correctly. Whether or not bandwidth/disconnect errors will continue? Only time can tell.

One would hope that the recent decline in server quality (by recent, probably the past few years ) is due to resources being shifted to GW2.
